Default Loud PSU WTF!?

Ok this is driving me insane. The new PSU I got works great, but the damn fan is on max 24/7. The fan connector is inside the PSU so I can't just connect it to my fan controller.

Right now I only have two options. 1) RMA 2) void the warranty and try to change the fan myself. It doesn't look like a cheap fan but it's pissing me off to no end. With all my fans set to max I can still hear it.

*edit* NVM the damn thing is hardwired to the PSU. Guess I'll think about RMA and hope for the best.

*edit* screw it, I'll just return the damned thing and try to find something better. I'm sticking with Enermax/Antec.

I've been happy with my Cooler Master UCP so far. A bit pricey though.

The gamexstreams were re-certified, this was advertised as brand new. The problem is that it uses a really cheap generic fan. Looking online, I found a couple people had the same problem with the same fan and they simply replaced it, but mine is hardwired into the damn PSU, so I can't just swap it out.

Sure you can, clip the wires and solder in a new fan, or leave some of the wire behind and just twist in the wires onto the new fan.

I don't think many PSUs have a removable connector on the fan.
