Borderlands

Is anyone playing Borderlands? I'm looking for some opinions. I'm downloading an "evaluation" copy to see how it is.

I've read some reviews that say it's similar to Diablo but done along the lines of an FPS, similar to what Hellgate was kinda sorta supposed to be, except this one is supposed to be executed really well.

There are apparently hundreds of thousands of guns available that are randomized like the item classes were in Diablo 2. I'm hoping it's as awesome as it sounds.

The 4-player co-op is what really grabs me about this game. I'm hoping it's as good as it sounds. I'm kinda tired of L4D.

The title suggests this was going to be about Mexico. I'm so let down.

But I guess I can check the game out. Is it a STEAM game?

I personally don't like it.

Feels too much like a RPG for my liking (reminds me of STALKER, maybe Fallout 3 too if I had played it), and the kind of cartoonish graphics I'm not too fond of either.

Though I too have a so-called evaluation version, so no co-op but I might try co-op with my brother and dad. However I somehow doubt it'll change my mind enough to buy it.

And right now with my semester starting to come to a close, I don't have much time to game, nor have I had much time at all this semester. Being at school until 6:30 and once I get home and have dinner its around 8:00...it sucks

Then I have to do homework/study and get some sleep in there to be up for 6AM the next morning and start again.

Then I'm assuming I'll be working 9-5 in the new year, but at least when I get home it'll be all free time

So I'll have a chance to game then, but I don't think it'll be Borderlands. Probably hit up L4D2.

I guess, but that shyt never seems to work out right. Had some luck with Comodo EasyVPN, but still not ideal.

And well I can run a 3-player LAN game anyhow, could make that 4 even if my mom wanted to play for some crazy reason, unlikely though.

I gotta try a RPG game one of these days. I just have to find the patience. I almost bought WOW yesterday at walmart just for the hell of it.

Oh god. First of all WoW and then at Walmart?! Heading down a bad road there Comixion.

Just grab Borderlands, it's on Steam and is out right now

Wal-Mart is one the only place I can buy milk, ammunition, and computer games at 11:00 at night. I always feel like I need a shower after going, though.

Try going to the one nearest me. It's an obstacle course. People just don't have any scruples. And yes, a nice shower is welcomed afterwards.

I personally think that game will be more like a benchmark, kinda how Crysis was/is. But we'll see.
