Best of luck, and hope you enjoy it

I'd suggest giving this a run: http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/ just to make sure any remaining NVIDIA drivers are rid of. Then install the new card and latest Catalyst drivers from the ATI website (don't bother with the CD)

Nifty tool to have. This is what I forgot to reinstall after installing W7.
When I rolled back to the Nvidia 191.07 drivers, upon installing them it said (Nvidia 191.07) already existed. Even though I was using the Beta 195's. (which was a disaster) So they were still lurking. Please feel free to steer clear of beta drivers.

I ended up buying a HD 5770 because the other store was too far (I'm on foot).

I've read up on that card and it has a load of interesting features, two of which I'm wondering how I can use. DX11 (I still use XP, and not many games are compatible yet) and up to 6 monitors.

My goal is to use my tv as my pc screen, the thing is, my room is about 10 meters away from the living room and the hole at the bottom of the wall is too narrow to pass anything bigger than an ethernet cable. I can use bluetooth for kb and mouse, I tested and theres barely any interference. I'm just wondering how the hell I can either pass a cable or if theres a wireless gizmo that can do that.

You can send HDMI over Ethernet actually. So I think that could work in this situation. Nothing that's wireless that works properly that I know of, or affordable at least.

http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...=2#description

And then just run two CAT6 cables through the wall. Hopefully the hole is big enough to fit 2, if not, get/rent a drill and make it big enough.

Monoprice is fine with Canada BTW, just use USPS not UPS for shipping if you can. If you must use UPS due to weight, then expect to owe money when it shows up.

The second cable is for Audio?

Alright, any TV suggestions while were at it? (BTW, I'm very grateful for the help so far)

It uses both to do video and audio together. I don't think 1 cable is for each function. It simply requires the bandwidth of two Ethernet cables to transmit HDMI properly.
