AMD should have played things out in court and waiting for a jury to make an award. I guess they couldn't afford to wait, but I think settling was a bad move.

Wow, if you look at that yahoo finance page, there's stock quotes there, AMD stocks gone up whilst Intel gone down

Anyway, yes, i hope AMD didn't go partying with that US$1.25 Billion, but rather refined their CPU to match those of Intel parts

It's more than the money, it seems.

At least AMD now has a chance to deliver on Bulldozer and Fusion (which, while far off, looks pretty solid). Whether or not they're good concepts is another matter entirely.

Looks like they have done a bit of Patent Trading within the deal. No X86 license fee's to pay to intel anymore for AMD. When you look at the exposed list of what Intel was doing. Sheesh talk about serious competition hampering.
